The 2002 two-dollar note opens the series the Reserve Bank of Fiji calls its «Queen's effigy» series. Next to Elizabeth II on the front is a kaka bird on a branch, and the back is given to people: a Fijian family in traditional dress among flowers and palm trees.
The note was introduced in 2002 with the signature of governor Savenaca Narube. In 2007 the two-dollar note was replaced by a smaller note of the new series, with children and the stadium in Suva on the back.
The lowest denomination of the 2002 series, it is Fiji's last two-dollar note in the «large» format shared by all denominations before the move to the variable-size 2007 series. UNC condition means the note has never circulated: no folds, no wear, no soiling, even corners — just as it left the press.
